Who Are the Stage Coordinators?
The stage coordinators of SL ISO are professionals who manage the dynamics of the orchestra and ensure the flawless flow of the concerts. Each coordinator is responsible for specific instrument groups and communicates directly with the musician-actors to ensure the smooth progression of the events. These individuals are the organizational power hidden behind every movement seen on stage.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the stage coordinators cover a wide range. They are not only responsible for managing the musician-actors during the concert, but also for the strategic planning before and after the concerts:

  • Communication with Musician-Actors: Before rehearsals and concerts, the stage coordinators communicate regularly with the musician-actors to discuss their needs and expectations. This is critical for ensuring everything progresses as planned.

  • Communication with New Members: They provide orientation to new members who wish to join SL ISO and have filled out the application form, explaining how things work before and during the concert. They also ensure the acquisition of concert attire and necessary materials.

  • Stage Crew Management: On the SL ISO Excel list, they record which actors will participate in which events, maintaining the organization’s order. The roster for each concert member is planned and documented in advance.

  • Attendance Tracking: The stage coordinators carefully monitor who will or has attended the events. Keeping the attendance lists up to date is a vital step to ensure the event takes place smoothly and completely. They track actors who are expected to attend or not, taking necessary measures before the concert begins.

  • On-Stage Support: During concerts, the stage coordinators provide real-time support on stage. This ensures that the musical flow proceeds on time and smoothly.

  • Emergency Management: Their ability to quickly resolve any potential disruptions on or behind the stage proves the value of the stage coordinators once again. They swiftly find solutions in situations such as a script not working, stage equipment malfunctioning, or a musician being delayed.
