a.4. MUSICIAN-ACTOR

The infinite power of dreaming and imagining offered by Second Life is the main idea of this project. Every moment spent in Second Life is like a visual feast, a library visit where knowledge and intelligence are shared from one person to another, and most importantly, a collection of emotions where happiness and pleasure, the indispensable reasons for the existence of the soul, can be experienced. From this point, the goal of SL ISO is to contribute to the experience in Second Life by providing the feeling of stage performance and being a musician, regardless of whether one is a musician in Real Life.

Responsibilities:

-
Regularly following orchestra group messages and notifications: Regularly following orchestra group messages and notifications is crucial for both fulfilling individual responsibilities on time and maintaining harmony within the team.

-
Regularly following stage coordinator's (IM) messages and give them response: Important information—such as changes in rehearsal times, concert dates, dress code arrangements, or repertoire updates—is often shared through these messages. Therefore, it’s essential not only to read the messages but also to understand them and respond promptly when necessary, as this is a key habit for the smooth functioning of the orchestra.

-
Carefully reading the concert scripts and following the program flow: All important information such as concert dates, times, detailed instructions, repertoire order, and outfit requirements is announced to musician-actors through the “Concert Script,” which is shared via notifications in the Second Life Musician-Actor Group, the Discord server, and in-world IMs by stage coordinators.

-
Regularly Attending Concerts and Rarely Held Rehearsals: Concerts held in the fantastical virtual world of Second Life represent the orchestra’s outward-facing presence, both to the general audience and the Second Life community. Meanwhile, the rarely held rehearsals form the foundation of these performances. Regular attendance at both is crucial—not only for individual preparation but also for ensuring seamless teamwork and stage flow. Rehearsals are typically the time when important details such as stage layout, technical settings, and internal communication are clarified, and any issues in positioning or script are identified and corrected. Therefore, even if rehearsals are infrequent, none of them should be considered unimportant.
